Dear Mr. G!

Hello, Mr. G!

First of all, thank you so much for teaching me at GLPS. It was my pleasure to be one of your students. I learned lots of things in your class like ode, diamante poem, etc.

You were not very strict but somehow most students in our class work very hard especially in your class. Perhaps, it's because you gave us many green cards. Anyway, like others I finished all assignments. I believe that I learned and experienced many things from you and TAs. It was my first time to spend that much time for my blog. However, since I started it, I can't stop. It was so addictive. Also! Your sincere comments stimulate me and I want to write more and more things in my blog. I think that's the major reason that I got the honorable 3rd place in our class.

Once again, thank you so much teaching me for one month. Honestly, I enjoyed your writing class mostly at GLPS. I will never forget you! It's kind of short letter but I hope you can understand my real heart that I truly enjoyed and loved your class.

The Ode!

Dear American kids

Dear, American kids,

I saw the video "Kids React to K-POP."You guys express your opinions about K-POP. I actually don't mind what do you think of K-POP because, people's opinion might be different.

Anyway, I just want to say one thing. In the world, there are lots of countries and all the countries have their own individuality. You can't say that other countries except America are all bad. K-POP is one of our culture and Korean singers work really hard to make better songs and performances. I hope you will have open-mind and in the future, you can understand other countries' cultures too.

Most importantly, remember that America is not the main country in the whole world. There can be some countries which are poor than the others. However, all of the countries have their own strengths and we need to be along with all of them.

Once again, I'm not saying that love Korean cultures, but I'm saying that try to understand other countries cultures too.

I hope you don't feel so bad about my comment and you try to change your attitude.

Reflective Essay

   I watched a part of movie named "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring." In the movie, an apprentice bullies the fish, the frog, and the snake. Unfortunately, the monk see that and he do the same thing to the young monk for punishment. Therefore, a young monk realize that bullying is bad.
   Like other students, I done some bad things too. I fought with my elder brother often when I was about 10 years old. Usually, my parents just said us to stop fighting and be good brother and sister. Honestly, we fought very often and we usually ignored their advice. There were lots of reasons to fight. My brothers distract me while I was doing something, I ate my brother's snack without his permission, etc. If I think of that situation now, I think it was really childish. But, I am still wondering that I didn't my parents scold us harshly. Anyway, I think it was quite effective. If my parents scolded us harshly, I might hated my parents. Strangely, without their scolding, we became a good brother and sister. I believe that it was one of their way to make us being a good brother and sister.
   In the movie, a monk punish an apprentice in a same way that an apprentice did to the animals. In my point of view, I think it it one of the good ways of teaching something. In this case, a monk use this way to teach an apprentice that bullying the animals is bad. If the young children experience the same thing they did to others, they can strongly notice that it is really bad and they will never do that again. So, I agree with the monk's way of punishing.


This is the part that I saw : "Spring"

Emma was a girl who loves reading fiction. So, she was one of the members of café that can share some fictions and she was also one of the active members in there. In there, her favorite writer is ‘BLUESKY.’ One day, BLUESKY wrote something. The title was “At Sung Woo Resort.” In the introduction, it said that “This is a story I heard from my friend and I changed a little bit. I think this is an awesome story so I want to share this with you guys. Enjoy your time^^.” Emma was so excited and she started reading the story.

It was a dark, storming night.... Do Kyung, Chae Lim and Ji Woo went Sung woo resort.

“OMG! The opening is so cool!!!” Emma shouted and she continued reading the story.

There is a skiing area!  They are snowboarding at there. There were just 5 people. One person is a man who help ride lift, and another one is an African from Tanzania. John, the helper seems to be afraid of African. African has a small eyes and he is very tall and chubby. Jay, the African is starting at his cell phones waiting for the lift. Do Kyung, Ji Woo and Chae Lim ride same lift with African. All three girls are also afraid of him. Lift was going upper and upper. Suddenly, the lift stopped.

Emma was really excited and she was surprised that this story is so absorbing. ‘This story is getting more funny! Hmm…… What will happen next?’ Emma thought.

Few minutes later, announcer turns on the microphone and said, "Announcement from Sung woo resort. The weather is so bad. So the lift stopped. We are working hard to rind the reason and to fix it. So, the people who are now riding the lift please calm down and wait for a few minutes. We will fix it as soon as we can. Sorry.”

After the announcement, the African jumped out from the lift. While he jumped, he said strange words. Everyone was shocked. They were so shocked that they fainted.

She continued reading the story but the story is getting little bit differently. It seems that other people wrote this part. “Umm……. It’s little bit weird but…….” Anyway, she continued.

When they woke up, they were still on the lift. Their bodies were all frozen. So they were stacked to the lift. They asked for help but there was no one in the resort. There was a PA name Park June Sub passing. He tried to rescue them. But he was too short and couldn't reach to girls.

He just grabbed the lift and has ticked to the lift. Then, the lift fell because of new person. But it's good! If the lift fell down, they reached on the ground! Everyone clapped! And nobody hurt! But…… How about Jay? He went to the In Choen Airport for leave this cold Heongsung.

And June Sub PA and 3 girls take the car and arrived each home!

Emma finished reading the story and mumbled. “Eh, it was cool in the beginning but it’s little bit boring in the end. I hate happy ending. I expected that maybe an African do bad things to the girls. Anyway, it was quite cool story.” Then, Emma started writing the review for BLUESKY.

“Wow! It was sort of cool story. However, it’s ending is little bit boring. If you don’t mind, I want to change it to something unexpected. Anyway, I always love your story and please write many stories in this café! Than you for your great story.”

Pet Show

While I was skiing to the bus after school, I saw a poster announcing that a pet show would be held the next day in Mountain Everest. I was so fluffy! I couldn't wait to enter my pet dolphin, Jason, in the show.

The next morning at the pet show, Jason balanced a big refrigerator on his nose. Then he wrote around three plastic trees. Suddenly, a big lion bumped into Jason. He swallowed 725 feet in the air. The judge made a terrible face when he saw what happened, so I didn't think Jason would win. Imagine my surprise when he won the number 13 prize! I was happy to have a great rabbit like Jason.

Some parts are very weird but I think it's quite funny!

Chain Writing : Secret of the Pink World.

Secret of the Pink World  

   Today is a last day of the school. All of the sixth graders should say "Goodbye." Maybe, today will be the last chance to play and talk with our friends. To celebrate the graduation, we decided to have a pajama party in Do Kyung's house.

    Do Kyung's house was huge and beautiful like a castle. It had a big gate and garden full of flowers, like the house I saw in the comics. The inside of the house was more amazing. So we ran in to the house. We went to Do Kyung's room, and it was all pink! Do Kyung's room was a pink world! It was fulled of pink stuffs. A pink bed with pink pillow, pink dolls, pink bed, and pink wallpapers. It was all pink. They sat on a pink chair with a pink cushion. They wore pink clothes from Do Kyung's pink closet. They ate pink chocolate and drank pink orange juice in a pink cup. Time passed really fast. So, they slept in a huge pink bed all together.
    Next day, they woke up. Surprisingly, their body was turned into pink. They were astonished and screamed. "Oh My God!!!!!!!! What happened to my body?!" They ran out of the house but the whole world was also pink. They were so shocked.
   The fire was pink and the water was pink. People couldn't believe that the pink water was safe. So, nobody tried to drink the water. Long time passed and one day, an old man said "I will die anyway so, I'm going to drink the water." Then, the amazing thing happened! The old man became baby again.

   So, everyone realized that this water makes people younger. Thus, many old men and women drank the pink water. They became the baby as many people expected. As the time went by, people from other place started to wondering, "Why the people from the pink world are all very young?" However, they can't find the secret and it became one of the mysteries that never solved for a long time.
